What is a Digital Signature Certificate?
A Digital Signature Certificate is the digital equivalent of your hand written signature, issued by a Licensed Certifying Authority (CA) and are legally valid in India. It may include information like mobile number and PAN number in encrypted form.
It is used for digitally signing documents online. Class 3 DSC is now used for all purposes, including MCA21 e-Filing, Income Tax e-Filing, GST e-filing, EPFO, TRACES, CERSAI 2.0, e-tenders & e-procurement, etc.,
DGFT Digital Signature Certificate is used by Exporters/Importers on DGFT portal. Other types of DSCs are Document Signer pfx and for HSM/USB Token.

Class 3 Digital Signature
Available in Individual name (Signing) for MCA, IT e-Filing, GST, EPFO, TRACES, CERSAI 2.0. For participating in e-Tenders/e-Procurement the Combo variant (Select both Signing certificate & Encryption certificate) with Organisation name is recommended.
DGFT CERTIFICATE (IEC)
DGFT Digital Signature (or DGFT DSC) is available for Export and Import Organizations for the authentication of electronic filing and documents uploaded to the DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) portal. DGFT digital signature (SafeEXIM) contains your IEC.
USB Token (HYP2003 HS Series new)
USB Token is mandatory for download of your Digital Signature Certificate. This enhances the security of your Digital Signature. HYP2003 HS-Series USB Token (FIPS level-3 certified) is the latest token as per the new CCA guidelines for storing your DSC.
Document Signer certificate
Document Signer Certificate is used by Organizations for bulk signing of Invoices, GST, agreements and other documents. Class 2 can be obtained in .pfx format and Class 3 downloaded to HSM/USB Token.
